"ŞUJE ROMANİ" The ICU Bachelor’s Graduation Fashion Show

The colorful lives of Gypsies and the movie "Gypsy Time" inspired me in my collection, both with its story and Goran Bregovic's music.

It won the Best Screenplay award at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival. 

The film contains characters and conversations that we see every day on the street and elsewhere. 

Some of the clothes worn by the main characters in the movie are quite stylish and maintain their simple elegance because not too many colors are used.

Others are completely ordinary street gypsies, shabby and colorful. 

Men's clothing caught my attention. Colorful shirts, jackets, roses in the jacket pockets, flared pants, big collars, monochrome suits, gold necklaces, big rings, hats, scarves, low-heeled shoes etc. 

The clothes worn by women are usually loose, puffy or layered. The shirts are loose-fitting and have a classic masculine style. Jewelry and rings were often used. It is very stylish and reflects the essence of the gypsy by using a hat, scarf and tulle on the head parts.

I think this movie is a great addition to my collection.

In this project, I presented the collection that I created by printing my drawings on fabrics at Titanic Business Hotel. 

This fashion show guided me in my mission.

Firsts are always special, that's why my first project is the most important part of my life.
